It looks to me that they are explaining that males and females are aggressive, but both for different reasons. Males are aggressive, although that aggression does not extend to fighting with females(presumably physical). So they will be aggressive in all ways barring physical (because they get jealous or are not liking their partner being unfaithful)? Females are as aggressive as males, but only when identifying a suitable partner. So I guess they would show aggression towards anyone sporting unwanted advances? I think it may help if you can view what constitutes aggression in a wider context? as in what is aggression and what forms can it take? Does that help?
