Which came first, the Chicken or The Egg?

In my opinion. The egg. Reason- Whatever made the egg was probably not a chicken. But a relative that took millions of years to progress into making an egg like reproductive system. So the chicken we call today was not the animal that made the egg. But a descendant of the chicken family that perfected the first egg.
