Spotting every 2 weeks before period?

So last month a couple weeks before my period I spotted light for about a day. Again this month Im spotting this time dark and my period is but a few weeks away. Im starting to think something could be wrong with my reproductive organs. I'm 27 and have aways had unprotected sex with my husband for the last 5 yrs and have not gotten pregnant which is fine but brings up concerns. I get facial hair (ew), dont really have that much of a sex drive, lose weight only to gain it back (have been around the same weight for about 10 yrs), I get pimples etc. I get HORRIBLE periods. Gut wrenching cramps and horrible back aches, very moody and its just hell every month. My period is pretty regular every month sometimes the dates alternate but it always comes to visit. Any idea whats wrong with me? I could easily go to the Dr but that would require insurance :)
