Belly-button piercing?

Before I get my belly button pierced, I have a few questions. First off, to those of you that have had it done, how much does it hurt? Is it as quick and simple as an ear piercing? Also, what are the risks? This is a really stupid question... but does getting your belly button pierced affect pregnancy at all? I have a really hard time believing that it could, considering how its my belly button and not my inner reproductive organs... but I once heard you can't have kids when you get it pierced and I wanted to know whether or not that is true.
