Is it possible to be an atheist and not be a Darwinist?

Well, I suppose you could be an atheist and rather than a Darwinist, choose to believe some other hare-brained "theory." I honestly do not understand how any thinking individual could possibly BE an atheist. It makes no sense. Yes I understand how you might be a religionist (which I also think is a big mistake) rather than a follower of Jesus, but to believe that everything one day just !POP!ded in from nothing? Who are you kidding? Have you or anyone you know or anyone known by anyone you know or any ancestor of any of said people ever claimed to have seen anything like this ever happen? Things do not just POP into existence. It simply isn't DONE.
